As much as I love what I do and that Rhianna song is pretty catchy. While my son was on Spring Break this week I decided to take a couple of days off and unplug.
I didn’t post on Instagram, take any client calls or read any emails (of course I notified my clients prior to leaving)
If you know me, I’m not one of those people who plan vacations way in advance. I guess so don’t like the suspense of waiting…
Sometimes you just need a true vacation where you’re not checking emails, speaking with clients, and having meetings. You need those moments to be in the moment with your family and/or friends. It’s so easy to be all wrapped around your work that you forget to live.
I urge you, even if it’s just for a day or so. Plan a staycation or an actual vacation for yourself where you can clear your mind.
It’s amazing how rejuvenated you’ll feel when it’s time for you to get back Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work! (ha! you had to see that coming)
