Know, Like, and Trust Factor

Good Morning:

I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. I was speaking with one of my clients and we were discussing the Know, Like, and Trust factor, and I thought this would be the perfect topic for our newsletter this week. So many brands and businesses forget so often about the Know, Like and Trust factor.
Have you ever wondered why when you walk through the mall most places give you samples of their product?

This is a somewhat free marketing strategy for companies.

Know:
You are able to get to know the product and company. Without paying for the product first.

Like:
You like the way the product feels on your skin (for instance, if it’s a lotion sample). You like the branding of the product. You like the way you are treated by the employees when you walk in the store.

Trust:
You sample the product so you’re able to trust the product. You’ve learned that the product is great quality. The lotion did not break your skin out and it lasted for a long time. Plus the scent smells amazing.

The same example goes for getting a free sample in the food court at your local mall. You may not purchase something that same moment. However, the next time you go into the mall you may give that business a try and if someone asks you for a food recommendation at the mall. You’re probably going to tell them to try out that restaurant.

Just by giving out a free sample this company is able to leverage a local customer and a free recommendation.

Write down what your clients/customers… (if you do not have any clients/customers, ask yourself what you would like for them to Know, Like, and Trust about your brand)
