A common theme that I am noticing with business owners is Branding. I first would like to start off by saying. To always remember that you represent your brand whether you provide a service or product. If people don’t like you as a person. They will not like your Brand as a company in most cases. You have to always remember that business is done on a personal level. Your client and potential clients first impression everything. I would like to provide you with a few simple tips that will assist you will taking your brand to the next level.
It is very important Develop your brand identity, including the name of your brand, logo, tagline (if you have one), and other signature elements for your brand. The major key is being consistent with using your brand signature elements.
No one wants to vouch for a brand that is not true to its mission and/or vision and changes every week with themes, views and standards. For example: Don’t state your brand is a luxury brand If you sell items for a $1. Most Brands want to associate themselves with being considered a luxury brand. However, you’re not a luxury brand if you’re not selling or servicing items at a luxury price or standard.
Being a business owner you should have empathy for your clients and their needs. You are in the business to serve your clients problems. (Your target market problems. ) Being relatable is only going to work if you know who your clients are and what needs they have. You are not going to be relatable to everyone so stop trying to be.
Don’t offer services you don’t know how to do service ( and/or no one on your team knows how to do it) just because it sounds good. You will tarnish your brand and people will not find you credible.
