Are Struggling with Launching A New Product or Idea?

Hey, How is your week going so far? Can you believe we’re almost eight weeks into the New Year?! When I say time waits for no one, time waits for no one. I was speaking with one of my clients (If you’re the client I was speaking with Hey! Talk to you soon, xo) I know we want everything to be perfect. However, while “we” (I have done this in the past too) are sitting back contemplating about a product idea. Someone is launching the product idea or service and making money. My ah-ha moment was when I was attending a workshop and the presenter showed a fiscal product that she sells. Honestly, in the past, I would have never sold anything with packaging like that. You see, my expectations were always at ten before I launched a product. She honestly “got me together” that day. As prior stated, I am a huge believer of a ” Pre-Order Page” However, sometimes you spend too much time on a pre-order page and it starts to become an excuse as to why the product did launch. In the past, I always thought of launching a product from a glamours standpoint for some strange reason. At the end of the day, people care about content first. Especially if you’re providing a service. It can be as fancy as possible. However, if the content sucks people could care less about how pretty the packaging is.

Don’t get me wrong. I am by no means stating that you shouldn’t care about the presentation or the quality of the product, you should. However, that’s not the real reason you haven’t launched your product. You are scared that no one will purchase it. You are scared that you will order a bunch of shirts and have to sell them for half of what you purchased them for. Before you actually send that invoice off for a product that you want to sale. Allow people to pre-order it first. whats the point of investing a bunch of money on a product if you have no idea if people will actually purchase it. My number one suggestion would be to ask your community or people on social media what they think about the product or service. (Unless you’re scared of being successful) If there isn’t a need for the service you are about to launch. What’s the point of creating it? you don’t want to spend weeks and months creating course if people won’t actually purchase it. If you’re worried about someone stealing your idea. Yup, that may happen. However, chances are that someone has already thought of the idea… (side note: Do you know how many domain names I think of that are already taken, and not an active site yet?)
Anywho, We are almost eight weeks in the New Year, YAY! I want to see you be great. Stop being scared, stop holding on to product ideas. Ask your readers, your favorite Facebook groups or even your followers on other Social Media outlets. Trust me, people love to give their opinion. If people are loving your idea or product create a “Pre-Order” or  “Coming Soon” page. If you see that you’re spending too much designing those pages. Pay someone to design the page for you. I know it’s scary.
