For the last three years, I have attended a financial conference in my state for Women. I actually found out about the event by just checking the Conversation Centers website. I know money is such a touchy subject for some. However, it’s a discussion that needs to happen.
The event starts really early, honestly this year I wasn’t sure if I would be able to attend. My schedule has been really crazy lately. I woke up super early. I didn’t even put my any makeup on. I grabbed a couple of my “essentials/must haves” and walked out the door.
I made it one time and found on street parking which I was happy about. They had some really great vendors, and I learned about some really great companies.
The Keynote speaker was great. They ended up having the same Keynote speaker from last year and she was amazing as she was last year.(Keynote Speaker: VALERIE COLEMAN MORRIS)
This year they offered lunch which was awesome for the people who were able to eat it. It looked absolutely delicious, though. They served grilled chicken salad and I do not eat meat. Yes, they offered me a salad. However, I opted not to have it, and just spent some time on social media and writing a blog post.
I really enjoyed all of the breakout sessions I attended. I have so much that I need to implement…The best part about that day was actually meeting some business besties. The event was over around 2:00 pm and we didn’t leave until close to 5:00 pm. It’s so nice to meet like-minded business women.
