It’s amazing to do what you love. I had the opportunity to be the guest motivational speaker at a workshop and I was simply thrilled. You see, my nonprofit has been my number one priority besides my family since mid 2012. I personally feel that when I started my nonprofit. It is and was my responsibility to “do what, I had to do” to make sure that my nonprofit continued to be successful. Trust me, at times it can be rewarding and challenging at the same time. Just being honest here… I find that my business usually takes the back seat which it actually has been doing for a while now. You see, when running a gross root nonprofit organization. Something always needs to be done. From meetings, to conference calls, to staff supervisions. Yes, at times it’s a lot and by no means am I complaining. (I know that I am truly blessed to impact the lives of today you) I am just expressing what my life is like. I started taking less and less coaching and consulting clients, due to wanting to be able to provide them with excellent service and still wear all of the hats that I wear. (if that makes any sense)

Anywho, back to the topic at hand. I honestly wasn’t sure when/if I was going to book anymore speaking engagements this year. When I receive offers, I simply decline. Out of the blue I was contacted by Dianne. It was almost like God was sending me a sign (maybe he was). I was super excitied about the offer and immedialtey accepted. I was actually really honored. Dianne has attended some of my prior events and we actually never discussed me possibly speaking at any of her upcoming events, so it came as a really nice surprise. It also continues to show me that your potenial clients are always right in front of you. Therefore you should always give A+ service no matter what you’re doing.
This post is also a wakeup call for me because sometimes I block my blessings. Sometimes I doubt myself…I’ve learned that you can’t fight or reject what you were created to do.
I hope this post gives you a little insist to why I haven’t been going a hundred miles per hours with taking clients. I hope this post also encourages you to never give up, and to give your best at all times…
I still plan on limiting the amount of coaching/ consulting clients I enroll in my program. I also plan on increasing the amount of speaking, and digital documents, as well as email courses I launch in exchange.
I am only human, and I try to be transparent as possible. Some days are better then others. I actually have a lot of amazing days. However, self-doubt is a dream killer, and if you listen to it self doubt. The odds of you accomplishing your dreams are slim to none.
